and it looks like someone was finally able to convince him to do a song off of the album for the finale, not that tune that he and dennis did last-minute in our basement — excellent business decision…hopefully will see a kick in album sales.

This is a scene out of the latest installment of the popular Call Of Duty franchise for Xbox 360. The quality of the youtube video doesn’t do it justice in terms of just how realistic the video is in HD — it gave me chills.

As if the first part wasn’t bad enough, the second half — where you experience the aftermath — really messed with my head. Watch the video the whole way through to see what I mean. (it isn’t full of gore or blood, don’t worry) You are still playing, moving/crawling, and looking around throughout the whole thing — it isn’t a cutscene. Pretty disturbing.

I never thought I’d find myself saying this, but honestly — was this really necessary?

Wicked

Yesterday was Amanda’s birthday. She wanted to go see Wicked, and as it turns out she works with a guy who knows the cast of the show - so we all went to see it last night.

We got there before the show for a private tour of the set and everything that goes on behind the scenes. I had never seen the show before, so I had no idea who anyone was — one of the main characters, Kristoffer Cusick (Fiyero/the scarecrow) was the guy giving us the tour and I was completely clueless as to who he was until the show started. We walked around and met everyone and her friend had the entire cast sign a program for her. They were all so nice — and it was more than just an obligatory tour type thing — they were all so excited to introduce us to everyone and show us around. Unbelievable.

Amanda and her friend are both red carpet photographers, so they’re completely desensitized to this sort of thing. I, on the other hand, am walking around flipping out the whole time:

“no one is ever going to believe me. holy crap that’s that kid from all those commercials (adam wylie, he played the tin man) and he’s playing guitar hero in his dressing room. sweet!”

Great time. True story. No, really.
